Chevy Silverado 1500 accessories: what fits and what does not
Three bed lengths and one trap: for the 2019 model year Chevrolet sold the new-body truck and the previous-generation Classic side by side, and they take different parts.

DECKED Drawer System — Silverado / Sierra 1500 (2019-current) 5'9" bed
Tap any row for the full write-up. Prices come straight from Amazon and are never typed in by hand.
The Silverado 1500 is the other truck this site sees constantly, and it has one fitment quirk that causes more wrong orders than anything else on any truck: the 2019 model year. Chevrolet sold the new-body-style 1500 and the previous-generation “Classic” alongside each other that year, and they take different tonneau covers, different liners and different racks.
If your truck is a 2019, find out which one you have before you order anything that mounts to the bed. The VIN and the tailgate badging will tell you.
The two numbers: exterior bed rail width about 64 inches, interior width between the wheelhousings 50.63 inches. And for a 2019 truck, the third thing you need is which body style it is.

DECKED Drawer System — Silverado / Sierra 1500 (2019-current) 5'9" bed
Identical design and identical reasoning, cut for the 5'9" next-generation Silverado and Sierra 1500 bed. If you run a GM half-ton, this is the listing to order rather than the Ford one.
Who should skip it. Same caveat as every DECKED unit: you are trading vertical bed space and payload for drawers. Know which of those you need before you spend.

Fitment
Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500, 2019-current, 5'9" bed
Heavy-wall aluminum, a foam-filled RigidCore lid that does not flex when you sit on it, and a low profile that still clears most rear glass. This is the crossover to buy if you intend to keep the truck.
Who should skip it. Skip it on a 5'5" short bed. At 69 inches it will sit on the rails, but you lose a disproportionate share of a short bed and the money is better spent on a side-mount pair.

What works
+Foam-filled lid does not oil-can under body weight
+Low profile clears rear glass on most full-size crew cabs
+Heavy-wall extrusion survives being used as a step
+Gas struts are serviceable rather than sealed units
What does not
−Among the most expensive aluminum crossovers on the shelf
−69 in is a full-size length — not a mid-size answer
Two-row liners for the 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 at a price between the budget mats and the premium brands. The fit is close enough to the laser-measured liners that most owners cannot tell without the two side by side.
Who should skip it. The compound is harder than Husky's and the edges are less finished than WeatherTech's. It is a value play, not a quality play.
Aluminum rails with sliding crossbars that mount to the bed rails and are designed to coexist with a roll-up cover. That combination — rack plus cover — is the thing almost nothing else in this category does properly.
Who should skip it. It is the most expensive way to get crossbars over a bed. If you do not need the cover compatibility, a clamp-on steel rack costs a fifth of this.

Fitment
Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 1500, 2014 and up, 5'8" bed
A tear-resistant rubber mat cut for the 5'10" GM bed. A mat is not a liner and does not pretend to be — it protects the floor, which is where 90% of the damage happens, and it stops cargo sliding, which a plastic tub does not.
Who should skip it. The bed sides stay exposed. If you load with a machine or throw scrap in, you need the sides covered too.

Tool boxes
At about 64 inches of exterior rail width, the Silverado takes standard full-size crossover boxes. The whole 69 and 72 inch market is available, and the choice is about lid construction and latch rather than about fitment.
Drawer systems. Sold per bed length, and for 2019 trucks per body style. Order carefully. See drawer systems.
Bed slides. The 50.63 in wheelhousing width takes a 48 in slide with room for its rails. See bed slides.
Cargo bars. The Silverado's interior is wide, so a 44-74 in bar is a better fit than a 40-70 in one. See bed dividers.
Anchors. Check whether your rail caps cover the stake pockets before buying stake-pocket D-rings. See tie-downs.
Protection
This is where the 2019 split bites hardest. Tonneau covers, bed liners and bed mats are all body-style specific, and a Classic part on a new-body truck will not seal.
Tonneau covers. 2019+ new body and 2019-2024 Classic are separate listings. See tonneau covers.
Bed mats. Sold by exact bed length — 5'8", 5'10", 6'6" and 8 ft all appear in listings. See bed mats.
Mud flaps. With and without factory fender flares are different parts. See mud flaps.
Running boards. Cab-specific, and the 1500 and 2500/3500 HD trucks differ. See running boards.
Racks
The Silverado is the truck the cover-compatible bed rack systems were most obviously designed around — if you want crossbars and a roll-up cover underneath, the GM-fitment rail systems are the most available. See bed racks.
For ladder racks and headache racks the picture is the same as every full-size truck: clamp-on where the rail lip allows it, stake-pocket mounting for the headache rack. See ladder racks and headache racks.
Interior
The Silverado's under-seat void on a Crew Cab is large and well served by model-specific boxes, which matters because a generic box rocks on the floor ribs and rattles for the life of the truck. See cab organizers.
Floor liners are cab-specific and the 2019 split applies here too on some parts. All-weather floor liners has the picks.
Fitment detail
Everything for this truck
The published dimensions, the tool box size that fits, and the roundup built around both.
A full-size crossover in the 69 or 72 inch class. The Silverado's exterior bed rail width is about 64 inches, which those boxes are built around. Confirm with your own measurement and the manufacturer's fitment chart. Full answer.
How wide is a Silverado bed between the wheel wells?
50.63 inches, per Chevrolet's published specifications, and it is the same across cab configurations and bed lengths. That is the figure that matters for chests, drawer modules and bed slides.
What is the difference between a 2019 Silverado and a 2019 Silverado Classic?
They are two different trucks sold in the same model year — the new body style and the previous generation, badged Classic. They take different tonneau covers, liners and racks. Check your VIN and tailgate badging before ordering anything that mounts to the bed.
How deep is a Silverado bed?
22.4 inches box height, per Chevrolet's published figures — the deepest of the four trucks this site covers. Useful if you load tall, and relevant to how much vertical space a drawer system's raised floor costs you.
How long is each Silverado bed at the floor?
69.92 in for the short bed, 79.44 in for the standard bed and 98.18 in for the long bed, measured at the floor. Those figures hold across cab configurations. Full table.
